Paparazzi Illustrate Magazines
When I'm at the checkout line in the local convenience store I usually pick up a magazine to read. It may be a US Weekly magazine, the Star magazine,or the OK magazine. What appeals to me is the pictures and information that the magazine publishers display on the front cover. I am tempted to spend a large amount of money to feed into my obsession for the latest news on celebrities. I never take into consideration what the celebrities feel about having their pictures taken, or how the people taking these candid photos, the PAPARAZZI may effect them.
Paparazzi's Fortune
The paparazzi have existed
ever since individuals took into consideration that they could make a great
fortune by taking candid photographs of celebrities and sell them to magazine
publishers. As the public became more obsessed with movie stars and music
artists the paparazzi made it their job to feed into the public’s obsession.
The paparazzi became really interested in fulfilling the public’s obsession and soon
began to invade the privacy of celebrities, stalk celebrities and distort their
image. The paparazzi don't care about the safety or consent of the celebrities.
When news broke out that Princess Diana's death was the result of the paparazzi
stalking her, questions arose concerning the paparazzi. Are they going
too far? Should they be stopped? I will describe instances when the paparazzi
went too far. I will also discuss why this matter should be taken seriously so that laws can be enacted to prevent the paparazzi from invading the privacy of celebrities, stalking celebrities and distorting the images of celebrities.
